Indonesia

Recent Earthquakes: -
Himachal Pradesh, India 2013
Kobe, Japan 2011
Haiti 2010
Northern Sumatra, Indonesia 2012

These are some of the very many earthquakes that have occurred over the past few years.

These earthquakes cause a lot of damage all around the world, and it is essential that places which are prone to these earthquakes are facilitated with the best infrastructure and management to avoid the least amount of damage.

Such was noticed in the Kobe earthquake where there were chances of the nuclear reactor bursting and causing problems as a result of the earthquake, and this it is of immense importance that all safety measures are required.
Had something gone drastically wrong, everyone would be breathing that dangerous gas, and within minutes, the city, and many parts of the country and nearby would be intoxicated and the people, well dead.

Management in lower economically developed countries is a major issue. For example, the earthquake in Bhuj was devastating, but the impact was worse. The people over there, mostly uneducated had no idea of what was happening, and thus the impact was much more compared to MEDC’s as people in MEDC’s are aware of the situations.

There weren’t any emergency meeting points in Bhuj, Gujarat, India (LEDC) like the one’s on Kobe, Japan or any other MEDC where people are gathered and either evacuated or kept away from danger.
