Everyone out of high school should attend a community college. Community College is such a wonderful way of getting a great education and furthering your education. It allows interaction with the professors, it is low cost and the college will help with scheduling your classes to fit your life style.
A community college is a non-residential junior college established to serve a community and is supporting in part by local government funds. Community college gives you the feel of college but also gives you a familiar feel of a step up from high school. Since class sizes are smaller you get more one on one time with the professor. The low cost of tuition and making your class fit your life makes community college a great place to start your higher learning.
When Mary, fresh out of high school felt welcomed soon as she walked through Salem Community College doors. She knew no other college could fit her better between the low cost, the friendly atmosphere, and the classes that fit around her schedule. It was close to her home and easy to get to. She knew a lot of people from her community. It wasn’t far from her home. She was familiar with the area of the college. It was made her feel safe and confident in starting this new part of her life. What a great transition in starting her future.
When you graduate high school you are becoming an adult but still aren’t fully mature. Community college gives you the first step in this new chapter in your life. You need to be able to still ask questions that you would not be able to in a far away place. Going away to a new place you have way too much to learn and adapt to. This becomes an overload to all your senses.
