Have you ever read a book that you could not put down? This is how I felt the day when I discovered a few famous coaches biographies, then moved to reading basketball coaching novels. These grabbed my attention in a way no other book I had read in school could. Even today, I am constantly reading whether it be the sports section of the newspaper or other sporting websites. I take at least an hour a day to go online and read about sports, our economy and current events. In addition to my daily reads, I brought up to college some coaching books to read in my spare time as well. By starting reading up again last winter break, even academic reading had been more enjoyable and easier for myself. I read way ahead in my Marketing book and I did not mind my reading assignments for my Business Law class as well. Starting that semester I have been reading to learn, not only for my classes but to learn about the aspects of the courses I am taking and to gather as much knowledge I can possibly soak up. In addition to actually reading the pieces; I am actually interested in what I have been reading! This is how I am now, but it hasn’t always been this way…

As a young child, I always loved to read. I would sit and read whole books at a time; I would hate to put a good book down. My favorite were series books, I still read and enjoyed many one time only books, but a series that really caught my attention was my favorite. I loved Goosebumps, Horrible Harry, and many more. My favorite by far that I actually grew up with was the Harry Potter series.
