Power is one of the things that all human being are trying to gain it; so it is probable that this power be in control of evil or good one. To contribute the power of governing between those who are qualified for a very restrict discipline and special condition is needed. Philosophers concentrate on the very basic qualification of politician and ruler of the society as a result of their significant influence on the main path which is selected to pass to the ideal society. The character which politician needs to have differs by different philosophers but some of them agree on some vital point.
Plato chooses his governors among those who have special suitability to guide a population to golden world which is full of peace, honesty, virtue, and healthy. Trevor j.saunders in c.c.Plato argues that Plato's main argument is about a skill by which guardians (governors) rule over society. This skill is based on special knowledge of metaphysic, eternal, and fixed reality which is called forms (464).Ariel Dillon in his research comment:
Plato revises the prior education by introducing the study of numbers/calculations, geometry, and cubes. Not only is mathematics useful for practical matters, but its abstractness causes students to exercise their intellect and ask questions about what really is. Socrates says of calculation, the study of complex, elusive concepts pushes one to study what is permanent and perfect. Dialectics are also to be studied. Reasoning through questioning/answering and exchanging arguments teaches how to give accounts of one's self and what one knows which helps identify the good in oneself and the good in the world.(7)
