This required one-credit hour course introduces you to various strategies for learning and helps develop skills essential for succeeding in an online education program. Self-assessments that are integrated within the course will help you become familiar with your learning styles and how to use your learning styles in online studies. By successfully completing this course you will become more proficient in time management, reading skills, writing techniques, memory abilities, and test-taking strategies. You’ll learn how to navigate within Grantham University's online course learning environment, submit assignments, and where to obtain academic assistance. GU100 is normally taken in conjunction with level 100 or 200 courses in order to help students address the most common challenges in working in an online learning environment. You’ll complete assignments in both courses simultaneously as a learning strategy for general education and entry-level knowledge acquisition while developing successful online study skills. Successful completion of GU100 and a companion course will prepare you for the challenges of today’s online college environment. Access to your registered course(s) is available on the day of your term start date.

To access GU100, log in to the student portal and follow the simple steps below:

1. On the Home tab, locate the Quick Links channel
2. Click the Courses icon
3. Locate the Courses section with GU100 listed as the Course Title
4. Select this link to enter the course.

Textbooks
Domestic shipments will be processed five days before your scheduled term start date. International shipments, including APO/FPO addresses, will be processed 10 days before your scheduled term start date.
