Traditional Vietnam was dominated by Chinese culture for a long time. And women were influenced hardly. In the old times, talked about women, everybody think three dependencies, women must follow their father when they’re young, their husband when they’re married and their son when they’re widows. They were treated unequally. But nowadays, in our modern society, women have higher position in family and society, they show their talented ability in many fields.
First, Vietnamese women assert their rights in the family. In the past, women couldn’t give their ideas, they didn’t have any power , they followed their fathers, husbands. Their husbands could beat them with no reason. Nowadays, women are protected by law and many Vietnam women’s unions. if in the past, when their father died, they didn’t have much property from their father, their bothers could have much, now, they are treated equally, they have many interests than men.
Moreover, Vietnamese women get high degree and succeed in many fields business, art, biology, …..in the past, women couldn’t learn more, they just learned how to cook well, how to become good wives, mother. They are always the main people who do all housework. Nowadays, women can show their talent, ability, they prove that they can do well everything, they study well, they succeed in business. In our modern society, they are good teachers, doctors, managers….
Vietnamese women have their ideas, their talk in the family, and they prove that they are not just good housewives, they can succeed in business, art, biology, education…..in the future, I think that, Vietnamese women can get more success, they deserve to have happy life.
