Firstly to start the experiment, I sat down at my computer so I could finish a research paper. For starters at this goggle experiment I was not sure of what or how I would feel, I only knew from what we learned and read about. I started this experiment in my house. The first thing I did when I put my goggles on was to test this experiment and see if it really worked. I told my mom to stand up, we threw a pillow back and forth. At first there really was not any major difference, but when I took the goggles off to see what it was like there really was a difference in distance. While I attempted to finish my research paper I had to push my computer away farther away from me, then it looked normal. When I put my computer in its normal distance away from me it seemed extremely close. Although I could type perfectly fine, I was constantly turning my head. The odd part was that I was turning my head unconsciously so I could see correctly, until someone in my family told me this. I also could not see through the sides so when I needed to use the scroll button I always had to turn my head down and over so I could see through the faceplate. Next I decided to take a break and see where else I could venture to and maybe run into something. So I decided I would take a walk up the stairs and walk around through the halls of my house. I walked to the back of the house, usually where the sun does not hit since after all it was mid-afternoon. Back here in this hallway it was darker than the rest of the house, and there were particles left in clumps on the floor. (I.e. laundry hallway) As I began walking through the mess my walking became stuttered and I noticed my motor skills were much slower. I then walked into the laundry room where it was pitch dark; I was surprised to actually see that my vision was significantly impaired.
