Abstract


Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) is a technology for voice communication, which has been rapidly emerging in an increasing number of businesses and homes throughout the world. Most VoIP systems require the need for an Internet connection in other for communication to occur although the users might be under the same geographical network. The Problem (The need for Internet) limits its usability, as there will always be a situation where the user does not have Internet access). Voice over IP can be implemented in Local Area Network (LAN, without the need of an Internet connection, which will undermine cost and also utilizing LAN resources properly.
