Walking in a Winter Wonder Land
Have you ever found your first love? Well I found mine during my favorite season, and it just added to my reasons for loving winter. Snow on the ground, and being able to ware hoodies without almost dying of heat stroke what’s not to love about winter. In the middle of nowhere we were definitely walking in a winter wonderland.
When I woke up on Christmas Eve and looked out my window all my eyes could see was a freshly laid blanket of white fluffy snow, winters first snow. Instantly I sprang up out of bed and put on my warmest clothes my thick denim jeans and a turtle neck shirt and my favorite black and grey coat, the one I got the Christmas the year before. As I race to the front door I slow my pace to savor the moment of the first snow. Even before I open the glass door I can feel the crisp bite of winter’s air. Slowly I open the glass door, separating me from and icy dream. I step on to the front porch and I can literally hear the calming effect that snow has on the world that surrounds me. Excitement runs its course through my body and it gives me a sudden cold chill. As I look around my world seems abandoned. Not a car in site, icicles were hanging from the overhang on my porch, and the few trees that I could see looked like giant frozen sticks. My first step pff of my porch is all it took to seen my neighbor’s house.
The first person I saw was Elizabeth Daniels, long blonde hair and beautiful blue eyes; I could look at her for hours. She noticed I was looking in her direction, and I quickly turned my head and acted like I hadn’t been staring at her like a love sick puppy. In an attempt to distract myself from her, I look around for something or anything to do. I look across the street and notice that the gate at the playground had been left open from recess at school the day before.
