WAL-MART

Sam Walton was born in 1918 in Kingfisher, Oklahoma. In 1942, at the age of 24, he joined the military for three years. He married to a lady named Helen Robson a year after military service. When his military service ended in 1945, Sam and Helen moved to Iowa and then to Newport, Arkansas. During this time, he gained early retail experience, eventually operating his own variety store. In 1950, Sam and his wife moved to Bentonville, where Sam opened Walton’s 5&10 (nickel and dime) on the downtown square. They chose Bentonville because Helen wanted to live in a small town.

Wal-mart is a powerful retail brand store. It has a reputation for value for money, convenience and a widwe range of products all in one store it’s growing rapidly fast in the past couple of years and continued on operating and expanding. The company is reaching out not only to new markets with high technology to advertise the company’s product in the new market but also by expanding al-mart into Super Wal-mart Center that included several department to satisfied customer needs like the grocery department, photos center and pharmacy clinic which is distinct advantage towards their competitors. The continuous and fast growth of the company shows how well the company is operating and how effective the strategy the company to the community. The employees of the company are being well trained. Which were carefully chosen and well trained to complete the job in a periodic time and in respective ways. These employees are well managed to keep the objectives and standards of the company. This is strength of a company, it brings out the best employees thus the best service can be given to the clients. If clients enjoy the service of the company they will happily return again to receive the services and products offered by the company this results to satisfaction of the goals of the company.
