WEBSITE EVALUATION

To start with I chose Ski Utah Rentals (http://www.ski-utah-rentals.com) for evaluation as a poorly designed website. This site’s aim is to provide information about ski resorts in Utah, such as their facilities, prices for different periods and their location.
My first comment is about the content. When I was navigating on the web site I noticed that resort rental rates belonging to previous dates are still on the page, so that page had not been renewed regularly. Then the content is not thorough, for example there is not enough information about the resorts. Some part of the language is not clear enough. They give the area of the resort but do not specify what is included in this area. There is no privacy policy or terms of agreement in the website so I cloud not evaluate it, or links to it. This website does not provide experiences of previous customers; in fact comments of previous customers would be helpful for new customers to make a decision. On the home page there are too much free space and logo of the company occupy too much space on the top. The website does not take any banner or ads so I cannot make any comments about it.
Next group of criteria are about the ease of navigation in the website. Since there are only four pages in the web site, I did not have any problem with navigation. Menu bar stays constant in each page, so I can navigate to other pages through it. A lack is the previous button to go previous page. User does not have to click many times to accomplish a task since the website has only four pages.
At the end of each page there are four links to various other web pages. One of them to owner’s Facebook profile, other is to his twitter profile, third is to a real estate company. The fourth link does not work, it is a dead link. Also there is a loading problem at the home page.
