Read the the following case studies and determine if they are a form of stress, distress, or disorder. In the spaces provided below, indicate which type of disorder is portrayed in each scenario. Justify each response in 100- 200 words.

Stress, Distress, or Disorder
John, a recent college graduate, has been struggeling to find a job for the last 6 months. He was fired from the job he had originally acquired immediately after college due to his inappropriate and negative interactions with his other coworkers. His interviews have also been unsuccessful as he has been exhibiting strange social behavior.
John seems to be suffering from level 5 mental disorder. In this highest level of distress there are alterations in the individuals thinking, mood, and behavior. We can see that there has been significant changes in his behavior since graduating college. We can also see that John has had problems in many areas of his life, keeping a job and interacting with others. He was having inappropriate and negative interactions with coworkers which led to him being fired. He is also unable to have a successful interview because of his behavior. Exhibiting strange social behaviors shows that John’s level has reached the point where a referral is necessary for him to decrease the problems he is experiencing.
Paula has recently given birth to a beautiful baby girl. Her husband has noticed she is having a hard time remembering where she put things and tends to forget what she was just planning on doing. Paula and her husbands relationship has also been strained as they are both overwhelmed with having an infant in the house.
In this scenario, it would seem that Paula is experiencing level 1-2 mental stress. In this level of mental stress thinking and reacting are harder than normal. Relationships are also strained in this level of mental...
