Weight Lifting

Everyday after school I spend an extra hour and a half lifting weights in the school weight room. I see people come in and go out that say they have gotten a good workout by standing around in the weight room socializing for 20 minutes. When I go to the weight room I work hard and I break a sweat. The Weight room isn’t opened though on Fridays while football is going on due to no coaches being able to be in there to supervise the students lifting. Since sometimes things get out of hand.
I have a certain routine I follow Monday through Thursday. Monday I lift chest. I Bench, doing usually four sets of 135 pounds 5 reps each set. Then I move to Incline bench and do the same. Then to decline benching. Benching is when your on a seat with your back down and your face facing up. You hold a 45lb bar upwards with weight on both sides and you extend your arms and descend them. It works out your chest muscles, and some of your arms. Then I move to dumbbells. I do free dumbbell benching. Its just like benching but without a bar, and a dumbbell in each hand. That and 5 sets of 20 pushups with a 45lb weight on your back really makes you feel the burn.
Tuesday I usually do arms. I work out with my friend tyler doing buddy curls first. Buddy curls are when you have a 20lb bar with weights on each side in your hands while standing upright. To begin you curl it once then hand it off. Then your partner curls it twice then hands it to you. You then curl it three times and so on. Until the number reaches 10. Then after 10 you start heading back down. Doing 9 curls then 8 curls. Be reminded that you cant put the bar down or else you have to start all over again, so its a lot harder than it sounds. Then I curl normal weight dumbbells in each arm. The basic bicep workout. Then I move to triceps and forearms. For triceps I have a pyramid workout I like to use. There’s a certain machine in the weight room that has a handle that sits in front of your face if...
