What Are the Biggest Issues Facing Young People Today?

What do you think are the biggest issues facing young people today?

There are many big issues facing young people in today’s society and I think that one of the main ones is the threat of smoking, drugs and alcohol. I have chosen this one because it is normally at a young age, when there is lots of peer pressure, that the smoking, drug or alcohol addiction is started. It is at this age that they start and from then on it is a slow road to death, death unusually early, or cancer mostly in the case of smoking. For smoking and drugs, you start out of misery or on the contrary, to fit in with your peers. This can lead to stealing or breaking the law in order to get the money that you need to fuel your addiction. Alcohol as well can be addictive and you can become an alcoholic. When drunk you often do things that you wish you never did once sober, and the addiction can lead to breaking up with your partner and misery, and on the rare but still possible occasion, it can lead to suicide. This is why I think smoking, drugs and alcohol are big issue for young people today because it is all started at a young age.

As a matter of fact, studies prove that the worst meal for your body from a fast food chain is the “McDonald’s Deluxe Breakfast”. More to the point though, many young people in today’s society will often go to a fast food chain for an instant meal, even mothers take their children regularly to a fast food chain or buy a microwave dinner simply because they can’t be bothered to cook. In these cases it is not the child’s fault for becoming obese but it is still a threat to them...
