What have shaped me

In the earliest memory of my childhood, this is how a normal day looks like: While my father is practicing his calligraphy, my mother is listening to me playing the piano and watering the flowers on the balcony. All my family members are used to get up early, precisely at 7 o’ clock every morning. The cultivation of art and beauty began right after my birth. And when I started learning Chinese, my mother tongue, my grandparents both agreed to teach me by introducing Tang poems. Within 2 years, I have successfully memorized 300 Tang poems and the sense of rhyme and magic in language ignites my passion to study literature. The embryo of my dream was formed at that age as the deeper I dig in literature, the more surprises I found.

Several years later, after I traveled from place to place, the enrichment of my knowledge enabled me to take another huge step on the way to realize my dream. I sent my resume to our community magazine office and they delightedly offered me an editor position in fashion section. My extensive reading and research about fashion styles in each decade helped me a lot during my work in comparison of different styles. Also the understanding of different cultures gave me a lead on comprehending the inspiration of each designer. Along with my words and comments, the fashion articles had been quickly approved by the team. At the first month in the team, the attemption of having more people influenced by my works was favorable: my mailbox was full of feedbacks and there were over 400 comments written about this article as well.

To look back on every little step I took during the journey to my self-actualization, writing has become an indivisible part of my life. Initially I was just fascinated by the beauty inside it, inspired by the ideology; but when I experienced more on this field, I found out the great significance of literature to me: it forms my earliest impulsion to learn and also the dream I am captivated.
