In a current day and age, people in such a competitive society all want to be successful. But what is the meaning of success in today’s culture? Different people have different opinions about the meaning of success, some of them think only the amount of money can show that if they are successful while some others deem that happiness is the biggest success, and a number of people hold the view that becomming remarkable man is successful. In today’s culture, the meaning of success is never giving up. That requires people to have a strong will to do the things they chose,and try very hard to practice what they work in.
The most important premise of never giving up is to be strong in heart and mind. Once people choose one thing to do, they should focus on this thing, and not be influenced by other trivial matters. It is a big challenge to everyone. The strong will makes people practice hard, it is the best way to make progress,and that will make people more confident to keep going. For example, Tracy McGrady, one of the famous star in NBA and he is a hard worker as a basketball player. In the hot summer, after sports competition season, Tracy always exercises in the fitness room and practices shooting, dribbling and tactics. He won the NBA’s Most Improved Player Award in his first season played in Orlando Magic, and was named as a starter for the Eastern Conference All-Star Team. Tow seasons later he won the NBA’s scoring title by scoring over 32 points a game, making him the youngest winner of the prestigious title in the NBA. So, this facts are the best proof of the meaning of success is keep practicing, never give up.
