What prejudice is to me?

After 50 years on this planet called Earth I still don’t truly understand why threes prejudice? At least in a negative light, are people born with prejudices or are they a product of our surroundings, taught by our elders or peers? Are they all bad personally I don’t believe so? The word prejudice a noun itself comes from the word prejudge .to prejudge something implies that you see a situation or person place, or thing and know something bout it whether be from a experience or a learned memory .Prejudices can also be helpful in that you can believe you know how to respond to a situation involving something new or different in you’re life .I this highly complex world is there a place for prejudice yes and no the kind that is harmful or can cause unrest no , the kind of prejudice that helps with insight and learning ,the truth is good , so where dose that leave me in my beliefs of prejudice. Out here hoping that people see me and the world around them in a good light .having an open point of view. Looking at any and all aspects of life with a prejudicial view that all can be a good learning experience. That if we raise our children and pass our values on to our fellow man that people will form there own views and to se the negativity in in prejudice as a derogatory thing . We as a human race may never grow to the level of existence where we don’t look at other persons or things that are different with a view of equality rather than disdain .but maybe just maybe we might grow out of our petty limited way of thinking? Until this all we can hope for is an existence within our world, society that affords us the things that make us happy till we die
