methis journal I wanted to discuss how I felt this class was going thus far. We have been discussing out revamped lesson plans in the past classes. I feel that we have got enough information to complete a well written thought of lesson plan. Using the Hunters Lesson Plan Model I think that this will help us a great deal on completing our lessons. Also using the multiple intelligences will also assist us in our effort as well. Including these two components will help us to tighten up our skills as future teachers this skill will come I handy.
Using the Hunter’s Model for lesson plans I think this will be most effective. Reason being this format will help us to touch on every important aspect for teaching. For example using an anticipatory set, teacher input, modeling, and checking for understanding. These concepts are very important because they help guide your lesson and guide it so that it goes smoothly. The anticipatory set I think is the most important concept because this helps to hook your students. Without this one step your lesson could be lost forever. Students need something that can grab their attention so that their entire attention could be on you.
Teacher Input also is important because this is what the instructor has learned about the specific subject. Usually this could be something that comes from your personal experiences, maybe something that you could have learned in school. It also can be knowledge gained from you reading or viewing some type of visual media. This is very imperative as well because if you don’t know a lot of information about the subject your teaching, it will be hard for you to teach in an effective manner, because of your lack of information on the subject.
Teacher modeling can also be an important concept because teacher uses it to show students examples of what is expected as an end product of their work. The critical aspects are explained through labeling, categorizing, comparing, etc. Modeling helps the students get a...
