Dear Melvin Rodriguez,
College is great! The teachers are friendly and very helpful, and the students are also friendly. At first college was kind of scary because the fact of knowing that I have to start back at the bottom of the food chain. After 4 years of high school and working my way up, I had to start back at the bottom and learn more information in order to get the degree that I need. But after a couple of days I felt very comfortable at school thanks to all the teachers that have helped me when I needed it. The classes are very small and convenient, and every one is learning at a comfortable pace. I do believe that college has played a positive role in my life so far because even though my family and I are struggling a lot financially, when I go to school every day I know that it will pay off in the long run when I have a successful career in the profession that I am very passionate about. All of what I am talking about right now is to talk to you about another topic, new students that arrive on campus and the fear that quickly ensues the student.
In my personal view on why the majority of students is that they are afraid of messing up their first semester of college and possibly have to take the class again thus increasing the stress level in their bodies and also the possibility of panic attacks, dizzy spells and some cases of asthma attacks. The second fear is the “freshman fifteen” usually changes the eating habits of the student. This one is by far one of the most popular fears in majority of college campuses. For one, eating habits do not have to change because the student can choose during what time they want to go to class thus they do not have to change what time they have to eat.
Another fear that a freshman usually gets is meeting new people. We all remember our first days of school when we knew nobody in school and we were all nervous of meeting new people. after four years of...
