Which Carpet Cleaner Works the Best?

The purpose of this project is to see which carpet cleaner, Resolve, Oxy, or Spot Shot, works the best to remove a tea stain. I decided to do this project because my family spends a lot of money on different carpet cleaners. My hypothesis is that Resolve will be the best carpet cleaner out of Oxy, Spot Shot, and Resolve. I chose Resolve because we use it the most. Carpet cleaners started off as a mixture of fat and ash or plants. Then the utilization of enzymes was discovered and it made a huge breakthrough. The main ingredients in the cleaners are enzymes.
The materials that were used were three 4x4 carpet samples, a bottle of Resolve Spot and Stain, a bottle of Scotchgard Oxy Clean and Protect, a bottle of Spot Shot Instant Stain Remover, tea, and washcloths. The procedure was four easy steps. The first step was to pour ΒΌ cup of tea onto a one of the carpet samples. Step two was to let it soak for ten minutes to allow the tea to soak in more. The third step was to clean the stain according to the direction on the bottles. The last step was to repeat the directions once.
I used a scale from one to five to compare the results. Five meant there were no spots left on the carpet and it returned back to it original color. Four meant there were small spots that were unnoticeable. Three meant there were medium sized spots that were a little more noticeable. Two meant there were big, noticeable spots. One meant there were very large, heavy spots. Resolve got a four because it a couple of small spots. Spot Shot got a three because its spots were a little more noticeable than Resolves. Oxy got a one because it left a dark spot.
The outcome of my project was very good. The results proved my hypothesis right. Resolve worked the best out of the three cleaners. If I were to do this project again I would probably try multiple stains instead of just one, so that I could get more accurate results.
