Windows 7 and Windows XP are two operating systems that are offered by Microsoft for running on their PCs and Laptops. Windows XP operating system was launched in 2001 and was upgrade for the Windows 2000 and Windows ME. Windows 7 was the upgrade for the Windows XP OS and was launched in October 2009. Both of these systems offered some great features for users. Usage for Windows XP has declined and is only found on older computers, while Windows 7 has become the most used OS.
Windows XP operating system was launched by Microsoft for use on personal computers and is the second most popular version of Windows. Windows XP was released in October 2001. The ‘XP’ in the Windows is adapted from eXPerience, indicating enhanced user experience. Windows XP was the successor to Windows ME and Windows 2000 and was the first consumer-oriented system developed by Microsoft on the Windows NT Kernel. Windows XP offered customers a redesigned graphical user interface, which was considered more user-friendly.

b) In my experiences XP security is very poor compare with windows 7, XP was designed before many of the attack techniques used today even existed, XP biggest security hole is that anyone with access to the computer to act as the all-powerful administrator and do whatever they wanted. XP still receives regular patches, and will continue to do so until 14 April 2014 after that there will be no support at all. When it comes to security windows XP is not good as windows 7
