It Would Be Great To Have a Wife Like That! : An Analysis on Why Judy Brady Would Want a Wife
The perfect wife is one that helps her husband with the dishes. Even in Judy Brady’s essay “Why I Want a Wife”, she explains the reasons on why she wants a wife in a satire, parody, and humorous way. Brady says that she wants a wife so that she can sarcastically explain the way a wife is stereotypically seen. Such as housework, keeping track of what everyone does, and all the responsibilities needed to be done for her family. My wife must arrange to lose time at work, but not lose the job” (Brady 368-369).
Not only does the wife need to work to support the...
