HOW WW1 STARTED: Germany was made a country in 1871, by a dude called otto von bismark, the french didnt like this there was a little war between france and prussia called the franco-prussian war, prussia won creating germany. when Germany was made they didnt have colonies to make a empire for trade and stuff so they created a army to take colonies from other countries.
germany was making a army, this was known as the militarisation. in these times weapons advanced, germany made submarines, tanks, airplanes and stuff.the rest of europe were getting scared because this country that was nothing once was becoming big. so the other countries started geting weapons too this was know as the arms race.
later countries started doing alliences, germany and austria and italy they were known as the triple alliance and russia, britain and france together they were known as the triple eatant.
Astria owned the Balkans, a country in the balkans wannted to be indipindint but austria didnt alow this, so serbia promised they would help that country be indipendent through terrorism.
so a terrorist group called the black hand assinated Franz fredindad he owned Bosnia, austria were pissed off and asked a apoligy from serbia because they felt they were to blame, but they didnt say sorry. so austria declared war, this caused the triple alliance and the triple entant to fight.
