School Year Round
School Year Round is both a positive and negative argument that both these authors have written about. The purpose for both authors’ is to convince the audience that schools should or should not be open year round. The first article agrees that schools should be year round. According to the selection, there are currently more than 2700 year round schools. The schools improve academic success and there are frequent opportunities for learning enrichment. The second article disagrees and says that schools should not be year round. According to this selection, high schools would not be as well cooled for children to learn. This means that most students will not be as focused as they should be. Also parents would not have the time to take their children to school. Including the money that will support their child for a full year without any stop except for many short breaks.
Both of the author’s are very biased to their own written report. The author that agrees to the year round school says that all he wants is for students to gain more and more opportunities to become more successful. But the author against says that if there is a full year round school then the students may not be as focused since most of the year they would be without air conditioning which weakens the child. All three of us all agree that schools should not be year round. Due to the simple fact that students need break, not very long breaks but enough so that their brain can function well.
