Cell phones are expensive. An average phone can cost anywhere from $200 to $500. Then a plan could be needed for frequent users of their phone. There are many available like TXT2000, Talker 60, Best Mate, TXTer, and many others that make having a phone seem much cheaper than it actually is. These plans cost to get put on and cost if you want to discontinue use of that plan. For example, Best Mate costs $6.00 to get put onto a phone. Then it costs $12.00 per month to use, you can call, text video message one person as many times as you like during that month. If you don’t want that plan anymore it costs $10.00. That is leads up to be extremely expensive. In spite of this, it would be even more costly to not have a plan as each text message costs 20 cents and one minute of talking costs approximately 30 cents.

Although I believe that cell phones are nuisance, I don’t believe that completely stopping the use of one is necessary. Not using a cell phone while driving or during class would be safer and better for the user, and putting it on silent would avoid the distraction and the urge to use it. Not using the cell phone as much and regularly swapping the side the cell phone is on could decrease this risk of a brain tumour. Cell phones should be used sparingly and therefore the health and wellbeing of the user would be much better.
