A Day in the Life...

A typical day would involve me preparing for a subtle breakfast with a large cup full of coffee smoldering into a mug, indulging in my daily newspaper, answering missed calls that were placed overnight, feeding my cat tuna and water, showering, grooming, planning for my day, and off to work at 11:00am. Thereafter my departure from the work, I visit my sister, Anaya, who lives a few blocks from me. Seemingly time flies because somehow I end up staying there from my arrival time, 8pm, until 12 midnight. Once I arrive home, I cook dinner and get myself ready for bed in my comfy queen sized bed.

This maybe different in a third world country such as Africa. If I was a young women who was born and raised in Africa, I would be living in a hut. There would be no source of water, heat, or food because of the lack of grocery stores and production of food. My day would being searching for food out in the deep and traitorous forest. I would be risking my life due to the vicious animals who may hunt and attack me. But, in the back of my mind, I wouldnt even be thinking of that because my family and I need to survive. We dont have sufficent showers, so we would walk 10 miles to the nearby pond and bath there as well as wash clothing. Even though the water is filty, we will endure it because there no other water supply available. We have no car so we have to walk by foot. My sister and I feet and ackles are so sore but we fight through the pain. Once we make it back safely, I would being preparing for my mother and father. My parents are ill due to the lack of treatment that is offered in our country. For work, my sister and I sew clothing and make only 10 cents per day. That alone isnt enough to support 4 people including myself. My sister and I typically wouldnt arrive home midnight. When we arrive home, the hut is so tiny that we would have to croutch down to enter. Not to mention, our beds are unbarrable. We have to literally lay on top of each...
