A Real Diet

Some people define a diet as eating only foods high in fiber, or having a serving of fruits and vegetables at every meal. No one can touch chocolate and fatty foods, or they will puff up again. The Oxford English Dictionary defines a diet as a restricted regime of eating, followed in order to lose weight, or for medical reasons. I undoubtedly disagree with this definition. A real diet is one where you should not restrict yourself to certain foods. Restricting a diet to lose weight can cause stress and depression. In return, this can make you become fatter. The best kind of diet is one where you can actually eat what you want and still lose weight. This is because everyone should be happy about what they eat once in a while. No one should feel guilty after eating a bag of M&M’s, or drinking a beer at a nice dinner. If every fat person in the world joined Weight Watchers, they would be more satisfied with their selves and their diet. Of course, no one can imagine someone losing weight from eating what they want, but it is true. Weight Watchers is a plan that allows you to eat what you like, with an emphasis on nutrition and advice on staying satisfied by choosing the foods you enjoy. What Americans do not understand is that a diet should consist of portion sizes, not what kind of food they are eating. I am one of those Americans who did not understand, until I witnessed real people who lost weight with Weight Watchers.
The first person that inspired me to lose weight was my mother. The day of your daughter’s graduation is supposed to be a happy one, but not for my mother. This is because she looked at herself in the pictures and told herself she never wanted to look like that again. She never did. She started the Atkins diet.
