E-cigarettes or electronic cigarettes are becoming very popular and available as the use of regular cigarettes drops. Recently, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) reported that e-cigarette use had doubled from 2011 and 2012. The health effects of e-cigarettes have not been effectively studied and the ingredients have little or no regulation. E-cigarettes, are battery-operated devices that provide inhaled doses of a vaporized solution of either propylene glycol or vegetable glycerin along with liquid nicotine. Many doctors are not recommending e-cigarettes for use among cigarette smokers to help people stop smoking, because there is not much study but people are amazed by the product.
Various studies revealed that electronic cigarettes that provide nicotine via inhaled vapor may help the memory as well as ease cravings as smokers quit their habit. These are the findings of research presented April 18 at the British Psychological Society's Annual Conference, held at the Grand Connaught Rooms, London (18-20 April 2012). In addition, other study make noticed that people who choose to stop smoking without using a nicotine substitute may suffer a period of decline working memory levels until their bodies adjust to the reduced levels of nicotine. E-cigarettes seem to be effective at reducing this problem for men and women.
