1.0 Introduction
The topic of assignment is “How to Overcome Fear in Public Speaking”. I’m as a Open University Malaysia student of subject English for Oral Communication and had been nominated to give a speech during a seminar . I had done plenty of research on internet and read through eight articles to get ready in this presentation.
2.0 Presentation Profile
2.1 Profile of The Occasion
This function is held by the Open University Malaysia, English for Oral Communication subject. The speech title is “How to Overcome Fear in Public Speaking”. The purpose of having this occasion is trying to persuade the learner to overcome the feeling of anxiety when speak in front of community. A fear of speaking can make us physically ill. Good idea may not reach to other if the speaker could not present clearly. Through this program, University also hopes the students fully support by get involve in this activity to make it significant.
2.2 Profile of The Audience
The expected audiences to attend this occasion are the University learner and tutor. They comprise of various races, namely, Malay, Chinese and Indian. The majority of audience will be the new learner which intake on September 2008 and as predict, a total of 200 learners will be attending this seminar. These learners are studying in Engineering, Education and Information Technology field. Accordingly, the seminar is running to build confidence of the new learners in public speaking.

2.3 Profile of the Location
The location of the occasion is at the Open University Malaysia main campus lecture hall. Open University Malaysia main campus is located at Kuala Lumpur city, Jalan Sultan Ismail. We can go there by Star line Light Rail Transit (LRT) or Keretapi Tanah Malaysia (KTM). By LRT the station got off is PWTC station while by KTM we need got off at Putra station.
