Tennessee couple charged after girl dies from drinking 2 liters of soda, water

In January, Alexa Linboom five years old, was rushed to the emergency room by her parents after she was screaming in pain and soon went unconscious.when at entering the ER she was blue and not responding. She had serrious brain damage." An investergator revealed the girl had been forced to drink soda and water over one to two hours as punishment." the huge intake of water made her brain swell. the young girl was also forced to drink grape drinks also. All of the fluids entering her body caused her body to become intoxicated, shutting down her body system. Alexa was punnished for stealing the grape drink. Investergators say that they "dont know how much liquid she drank , but there was 4.5 12 ounce drinks plus the water in-between." Randall Vaughn and Mary Vaughn were charged with murder and are being held at Hawkins County Jail on a $500,000 bond for each of them. The evidence is Physical evidence of the five year old girls body, Her brain condition and her stomach contents. Testiomnal evidence of her parents are also evidence.

Reflection
This news artical stuck out to me because its a young death. Also it was a family murder. this goes to show that even though the parents were trying to teach the young innocent girl a lession they could have went at it another way. Still this is a horriabal situation that could have been avioded with the right parenting.
