Understanding The Society and The Government The movie V for Vendetta is a great movie to get watch and understand because it shows a man, V, with an idea about society and the government and seeks upon it. There is a profound statement behind this movie and it can be interpreted in many different ways. The overall statement for the movie V for Vendetta is the understanding of freedom with society and the government because it shows mistreatment of innocents for political gain, revenge, and victory. One reason the movie is about the understanding of freedom with society and the government is by showing mistreatment of innocent people for political gain. The government can plan out an attack and blame it on terrorists just to gain trust and have the people relying on the government more. Some officials had to seek out if the attacks in the US on September 11th were an act of terrorism or someone trying to prove a point to bring the people and the economy together (Murray). An idea in this movie is the government plans out the experimentation on innocent people and when the experiments fail and thousands of people are dying, the government blames it on terrorism so the people will go to the government for help. Another reason this movie is about the understanding of freedom with society and the government is because it shows revenge. V was one of those innocent people that were getting experimented on and he survived with only one intension in mind. V seeked revenge upon all of the direct people he knew that were the main corporate and he did not back down until they were all dead. There are people in the government that are not bad people, they just work for the bad people, and their lives were spared. Finch, an innocent man that worked for the government and did not know about the experiments, serves the government, but he does not agree with them (Varnado).
