Organizational behavior is the study of how organizations work and focuses on teaching companies to perform efficiently.
What is the basic leadership model formula?
The product of behavioral skills and the knowledge of OB = leadership effectiveness.
What are the three basic levels of organizational behavior?
Individual level: Psychology is the contributing discipline of this level. Members make sense of the world and derive motivation from this level.
Group level: Social Psychology, Sociology, and Anthropology are the contributing disciplines of this level. Power and politics, how to lead teams, how teams function, and ethical decision making all occur here.
Organizational level: Sociology, Anthropology, and Political Science are the contributing disciplines at this level. Creating and sustaining the culture of the organization, changing the organization, selecting and developing talent, and structuring the firm are all focused on in this level.
What is the basic idea that organizational behavior reflects?
Everything is based on contingency variables that basically state that x leads to y, but only under condition z.
What is cultural context?
It is the focus of workforce diversity based on the differences among people with a given country.
