Naturally, these are concerns that usually consider by business owners when they are struggling between proposing environmentally friendly policies while running their businesses. However, to understand the impacts of going green, it is vital to know what cost would it bring for preserving the environment while running businesses in food and catering industries. Also, how would it affect the company’s profits if company choose to propose environmentally friendly policies, Base on the above issues, a questionnaire was created for generating opinions of business owners from food and catering industries about preserving the environment while running businesses. After analyzing all the questionnaires from respondents, most of the business owners stated that proposing environmentally friendly policies would increase operating cost at first. Nevertheless, it is a kind of long-term investment that brings more profits afterwards. It has proved that although preserving the environment seems to be harsh and costly, the fact is that it brings benefits to businesses.

In fact, the environmentally friendly policies did increased costs of businesses in the catering industry. The analysis has been done based upon the responses to the different questions. From the result, we find that 35% business owners stated that they have applied environmentally friendly policies while running their businesses.
