Hi Leimomi,

15. Hansell and Damour (2008) state "given the fears and prejudices about mental illness in our culture, diagnosis of mental disorders can be highly stigmatizing and demoralizing to the people diagnosed" (p. 6).

I must respectfully disagree with you. The above statement is incorrect. There should be a comma between the ‘(2008)’ and ‘state.’ The word ‘state’ should be ‘states.’ There should be a comma after ‘states.’ In the text, the word ‘Moreover,’ begins the quote. In this statement, because the word ‘Moreover,’ was not included, the word ‘given’ should have been capitalized (Given). The statement should read as follows, “Hansell and Damour (2008), states, ‘Given the fears and prejudices about mental illness in our culture, diagnosis of mental disorders can be highly stigmatizing and demoralizing to the people diagnosed’ (p. 6).”

or

“Hansell and Damour (2008), states, ‘Moreover, given the fears and prejudices about mental illness in our culture, diagnosis of mental disorders can be highly stigmatizing and demoralizing to the people diagnosed’ (p. 6).”
