Abortion has become very political these days. There are people standing on the corner protesting, passing out propaganda, and holding signs with Bible verses about abortion being wrong. Abortion has been an important topic during President Obama Campaign. Some argue that it is a woman’s right to have an abortion, while others may express that it’s wrong. A woman may terminate a pregnancy for many reasons. Pregnancies could be unplanned, a woman could have been raped, been part of incest, or have financial instability or fetal defects. However, does it make it right to have abortion under these circumstances? A woman has the right to choose what to do with her body, but to terminate a pregnancy shouldn’t be one of them. Therefore, abortion is wrong because it’s an act of taking a life, women can develop medical complications in the future, and more concerning is how much it cost taxpayers.
Abortion has always been a controversial topic. There are people that believe it’s so wrong, that individuals have bombed abortion clinics to send a message. Abortion is the termination of pregnancy by the removal the expulsion from the uterus of a fetus or embryo prior to viability. Is the fetus considered a human life? People have debated this topic by expressing anything with a heart beat is considered a human life. Abortion should be perceived as an illegal act with serious ramifications. In the state of UTAH, late term abortion is a felony. The act of purposely killing an innocent human being is no different from murdering an innocent bystander during a robbery attempt. Abortion should not only be illegal to the woman requesting the procedure but also to the person performing the medical procedure. It stands against everything that medical professionals go to school for, which is to help people not kill. There are alternatives to prevent abortion.
