Have you ever had a thought of killing someone so small that they dont even have a Word in that decision , someone that is considered unimportant? ABORTION yes today I will talk about abortion. Abortion means ending a pregnancy so that it does not result in the birth of a child but no matter how you say it, abortion is taking a life. There are two types of abortion : spontaneous, which occur naturally, and induced, which occur due to outside intervention if it is done in the first couple of weeks until the 9 week they give a pill that induce abortion. This decision is something that many people struggle with today and something that comes along wih this struggle is Parental Consent. A teenager is in a critically developmental period and may be scared to talk to anyone about her feelings and what problems she is experiencing.
When having an abortion in Pennsylvania you are required by law to have the parental consent of your parent or guardian if you are 17 or younger. Also to receive an abortion here you and one of your parents or guardians must watch a lecture on abortion then wait 24 hours before you and that parent or guardian can sign a consent form to receive the abortion. This is the process of informed consent. You can have a judicial bypass if you have a good reason to not inform your family or if your parents refuse to let you have the abortion. This is a private hearing before a judge to get an order permitting the abortion. If this process is too difficult for the teen, she can go to New York, New Jersey, or Washington D.C. to have an abortion without the consent of the parent. the argument against parental-consent for abortion there are several problems that arise for a teenager. One is the use of unlicensed-unsterilized clinics or doctors to perform the abortion on the teenager. This use of back alley abortion clinics increases the health risk of the procedure on the teen.
