Roe vs. Wade vs. Everyone Else
All around the world people are debating the subject of abortion. This subject is a very emotional one, which leads to a very heated and controversial argument about it. People have been completely divided into two groups concerning this issue, being pro-choice or pro-life.
Well, guess what America? Roe vs. Wade was a real thing and it did happen. The end result? Abortion is legal. But the issue and the very heated debate continues with people on two very different sides of the argument.
There are only a few states in United States that actually allow abortions. Due to the limited number of states that allow abortion, women are limited to the options they have if they would need or want an abortion. People who are pro-life believe that abortion should be completely illegal no matter what the circumstances are regarding an unwanted pregnancy. They also believe that life begins at conception, therefore having an abortion would be immoral because it involves killing an innocent life. As a result of this perspective, pro-life advocates also believe that abortion is a criminal act and that it should be kept illegal. On the other hand, those who are pro-choice believe that women should have the right to decide whether or not they should continue on with their pregnancy or abort it. It is their belief that abortion should not be illegal for women because in certain circumstances it may be the best choice for both them and their unborn baby. Pro-choice advocates also believe that women should be able to obtain an abortion if they choose to do so.
Like previously mentioned, those who are pro-life are completely against abortion no matter what is said about it. Abortion is an immoral act, “The Sixth Commandment of the Bible’s Old Testament (Exodus 20:13) is “Thou shalt not kill” (The Holy Bible).
