Manners First Before Academics
Grades doesn’t define a person; Attitude does. In this quote it shows us that grades are just digits and grades doesn’t define who you are and what you are. Grades are not a competition so why compete? It doesn’t mean that when you fail you didn’t learn something. Don’t ever desire to have 99 or 75 or anything in between. Desire to learn because grades can’t define your value as a person.

In Japanese schools, the students don’t get any exams until they reach grade four. Why? Because the goal for the first 3 years of schools is not to judge the child’s knowledge or learning, but to establish good manners and to develop their character! Yes, that’s what our scholars taught us: Manners before knowledge! Good manners can open doors that the best education cannot. It is an inspirational quote from Clarence Thomas. This quote says that we can’t go anywhere without applying good manners.

I will always choose a lazy person to do a difficult job because he will find an easy way to do it. This is a quote from Bill Gates shows that grades doesn’t predict the future. Bill Gates said “ I failed in some subjects in exam, but my friend passed in all. Now he’s the engineer of Microsoft and I am the CEO of Microsoft. This quote inspired so many citizens that if we can’t get success with grades then do it by efforts. He’s one of the man who is successful but not smart enough and he proved that in many ways we can be successful.

In our society today, as we can see there are people who are very smart but behaves like an immature. Attitude is a problem in our society. Good manners always start in our own homes and being taught by our parents or guardians. Bad attitude, vices or bad manners, these are what you can get from your friends, family or from your experiences but don’t let someone’s bad attitude ruin your good...
