Presentation of CEO's Position
The CEO’s report on health and environmental issues regarding the release of Sonox.
The Kardell Paper Company (KPC) has been faced with a dilemma that involves health issues of their employees, the community (Riverside), and the environment surrounding the community. There have been health issues brought to our attention that a compound called sonox has been released into the Cherokee River, and this compound is raising concerns about the health and welfare of the people of Riverside as well as the plant employees (many reside in Riverside). These concerns could cause negative outcomes for the plant. It is my decision as CEO to investigate further into these issues and come up with a conclusion that will be of the best interest to the Stakeholder’s, employees’, and the community of Riverside. I have outlined these proceedings in this report.
Report structure
➢ The report will include:
➢ The stakeholders involved.
➢ The level of importance of the stakeholders.
➢ The type of data gathered.
➢ The decision.
➢ The reasoning for the decision.
➢ The validation of the decision.

The Stakeholders involved
The following stakeholders were involved in the proceedings:
➢ The employees of Kardell (union representative)
➢ The City of Riverside and its citizens (city councilor, 2 business people, an economist)
➢ The Kardell legal council
➢ The Kardell investors (mutual fund’s manager)
The level of importance of the stakeholders
The most significant group of stakeholders are the investors; as they have money, health, and the well being of their community at stake. All other stakeholders are just as important and were listed after the investors. I do acknowledge the importance of all the stakeholders, and their efforts will not go unnoticed in this report.
