Accountability in the army is a big deal, The Importance of Accountability Is so you know where everyone or something is. It is also necessary to have accountability of everyone in the unit to make sure everyone in your unit is safe .and that everyone is where they are needed. Also having accountability of everyone makes it easier to track down someone if they are needed for something. Accountability is also about responsibility and by showing up late to the bus stop at 1100 instead of 1050 like I was told I wasn’t being responsible. All formations in the military are based upon accountability. The first formation in the morning is to get accountability of all personnel and to put out information for the unit. Because if we are there when we are needed we cannot miss any information given out , or any change of plans, or new schedule changes if we are on time and where we are told to be when we are supposed to be there.Accountability is very important because it allows for your chain of command to know where you are at the moment, It is also important because it tells the unit commanders and the none commissioned officers how many people are available around how many personnel are available to perform. Everything must be accounted for in the military, from food to rounds and troops also vehicles, fuel, all supply and personnel. Discipline and accountability to your unit is a must, so they know where you are and that you are safe
Being on time in the army is one of the most important things one of the most stressed word I have heard since I have joined the army .There is not a single thing that happens in the Army or the rest of the world that is not on some kind of time schedule. Being in the right place, and at the right time, and in the correct uniforms very important in the army and not only does it sets a soldier up for success it teaches us displine.
