1. INTRODUCTION:

InterContinental hotel group was founded by a British company. In 1977, William Bass opened a brewery in Burton- on- Trent in the UK. Ten years later, William Bass made the brewery into the hotel industry in 1988, buying Holiday Inn international. The business had expanded from domestic brewer to international hospitality retailers. On 15 April InterContinental hotel group become a standalone hotel, listed on the London and New York stock exchanges.
