1 EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
As of 2012, Acme Home Improvement has 125 stores and annual sales of $5.4Billion. With the net income of $280Million, Acme Home Improvement has an operating margin of 5%. In an interest of seeking greater profits, Acme Home Improvements has decided to expand to first Mexico and Canada in the future. The commercial and residential real estate market has grown since 2011 and continued growth is expected. A joint venture has been setup in Mexico known as Acme Home Improvements de México, SA de CV.
This project management plan was created on January 21, 2014 upon approval of the program charter for Acme Mexico City. The project duration is 12 months starting on February 1, 2014 and completion date set for January 31, 2015. The target store opening date is set for February 3, 2015, after the Mexico legal holiday Constitution Day. Similar to current stores, the Acme Mexico City store will have: indoor space of 100,000 square feet, outdoor space of 10,000 square feet, and two-story garage. The estimated cost for the project is $3.1Million (USD) and consists of: labor costs for construction and store employees- $1.1Million (USD), materials such as lumber, steel, concrete, etc. - $1.2Million (USD), and other for inventory, licenses, and utilities - $800k (USD)

The estimated cost for the Acme Mexico City project is $3,131,712 (USD). The expense budget in Appendix D details the labor, material and miscellaneous expenses. This will cover the construction of the new store and staffing. The necessary certificates and licensees are included in the miscellaneous expenses.
Any changes to the budget require approval from Project Manager and Sponsor.
