On April 20, 1889 at 6:30 pm Adolf Hitler was born in the small village of Braunau Am Inn Just over the border from German Bavaria. His father was named Alois Schicklgruber the last name came from his mother. His father’s last name was Hiedler and soon his uncle convinced Alois to change his last name to match his fathers. But when it came around to spell it in the book he spelled it as Hitler just so it wasn’t exactly the same because he was ashamed that his father abandoned him. Adolf’s Mother was named Klara Polzl, The grandaughter of Alois’ Uncle. Because Alois changed his name she was his neice and he had to get special permition from the catholic church to marry her. Klara had four children but three of them died after they were born. Adolf was the only child to live. After he was born she had two other kids. When adolf turned 6 his parents enrolled him in a public school in the village of Fischlham near Linz Austria. At this time Adolfs Parents had 2 more children a boy and a girl. From Aloises past wives he had a son that was a little older than Adolf. His fater beat him alot until one day he left the house never to see his father again. Adolf knew that now that he was the oldest he would get treated the same way. After this the family moved to Lambach Austria. Adolf new that this ment that there wouldnt be as many chores because they wernt on a farm anymore. He went to a chacholic school here and was doing well. He joined a choir and people said that he had a fine singing voice. Years later he would participate in many catholic cerimonies. When he turned nine he got in to “schoolboy mischief”. He got caught smoking a ciggerate. He was not punished but forgiven. His favorite game was cowboys and indians. Lots of southwestern books were read and even made into plays at there school.
