An Array of Shoppers
In the world of shopping there are different kinds of consumers. There are three types of shoppers that have very different habits of shopping from one another. First there is the uncontrolled buyer or compulsive shopper. Second there is the dreamer or window shopper. Then there is the shopper all stores despise, which is the shop lifter. Although shopping is something everyone does, few realize the different types of shopping there are.
First compulsive shoppers will usually have a lot of stuff and a lot of clutter, usually most stuff has little to no value. A compulsive shopper will not usually pass up a deal or sale whether the items on sale are even needed. Along with buying useless things they often have a hard time keeping up with bills and are usually in debt, but still find money to shop. When this type of shopper wastes their money and don’t pay their bills they tend to put stress on friends and family for financial support. Compulsive shopping has a substantial impact on lives, and although they acquire a lot of items most are useless.
Secondly, window shopping is lite on the wallet and leaves one wishing they had certain things. Typically a window shopper is someone who browses around, but never buy they just picture themselves with it. Plus the things they pass up and don’t buy leaves them with the money to buy the big ticket valuable items that they want the most. When this type of shopper does buy something they usually know everything about the item and compare prices before purchasing it. Window shoppers might sound like they don’t buy or acquire a lot of things, but the things they do buy are usually quality valuable items at a good price.
