AN EXPERIENCE THAT CHANGE ME.
The recession of 2008 was a major worldwide economic down turn that begin in 2008 and continued into 2010 and beyond. At that time the company where I worked was effect badly by the recession. I was the last employee in the company. My boss had try to keep me around by cutting day work from five to four days a week then four to three days a week. He always told me to hang on, he believed eventual the economic will come back. He was wrong because a year pass by the situation was getting worst and finally I got layoff on 2009.
The first time in my life, I felt so miserable and so disappointed. For so long, I put a lot effort in the job-jeweler. Working hard and learning more each day were my characteristic to improve myself for the position in the company. I also went to the training on the side while I worked to get the diploma. With the market of the time, I found out lots of people had the same situation. It was very hard to get hire back to the same position or similar position because most of the company want to cut down spend. They were tending to layoff than hire.
In a few months, I had tried to look a new job in any way I could think of (internet, newspaper, friends…). the result was unsuccessful. With the act sign by our president-Obama. Who was unemployed could get the unemployment benefit up to two years. I decided to go to vocational school, to get a new training for a new career while I was still looking for my job. Air conditioning technician was a new major I had chosen. The training course was not easy at the time because my English was not fluently. It was very difficult when I read the text book; try to understand what the information had given by the book. Luckily in the lab was easy to understand.
After a year of training, I got the diploma and ready for a new career in exiting. Finding the new job was not easy like I thought because America economic still not recover from...
