Tick tock. Tick tock. An hour of absolute boredom had passed; there was no telling how much longer it would take. Creak, the door opened to admit another poor soul to this terrible place. After another ten minutes had passed I felt as if my head would explode from the boredom. It seemed as if I was watching paint dry I was so bored. But sadly that is just a way of kidding myself, the reality was so much more dull. I was waiting at the D.M.V. While sitting there I unfortunately took some time to observe the crowd that was trapped there as well. There were very few people there that would have been considered to be a part of middle class America; it was sadly mostly the trailer park crowd waiting in that horrible place. Though the latter part of the crowd was full of people waiting there for no apparent reason other than to be with the other seven members of their family that were waiting there for one single person to do whatever they were there for. Not to mention there was also one very creepy man there wearing a bail bonds shirt. He even had a social worker helping him fill out the forms because he was illiterate.
After that bit of people watch, which managed to freak me out somewhat, I essentially went back to staring at the proverbial clock, seeing as the employees were smart enough to not hang one up. Another half-hour passed and I still had not been called. The waiting had gotten so bad that it was getting to the point where I was going to take a nap or give up and go back home. The boredom never got any better so I simply got up and dragged my mom home with me. Once we got into the car and looked at the clock we realize that we had waited there for two hours for absolutely nothing. Even more annoying tough was to then realize that the place had been only half an hour away from closing and just kicking out all the people waiting there. Sadly that episode has made my attention span shrink significantly, but it had taught me the simple lesson of always...
