The author of the article states new and helpful ways to improve the lives of teen mothers and to further their education. She mentions statistics of teen pregnancy and the life after of what teen mothers go through. Linda Arms Gilbert becomes is an activist helping to provide housing, careers, and safe environments for teen mothers and their children. Programs are built in communities to eliminate drug and/or alcohol related behaviors, to use positive reinforcements, and also parenting skills training. This article is very useful and shows the positive sides of teen pregnancy and that they are many places to improve healthy and successful lifestyles for teen mothers and their children for teen mothers and their children.
I think this website is important because it does show teen pregnancy isn't always a negative thing and some positive things can come from something that began as a bad situation.
