What has been the status of women in the United States throughout history?
Women had no rights back in the days. It was the man who had to support the family and the woman job was to take care of the house and the children. Men did the heavier jobs of hunting and doing yard work. Women were looked at as weak, not powerful and were only looked good at doing things at the house and being a mother. Women weren’t even able to decide who they were going to marry. Their parents decided who they were going to marry and were arranged marriages whether they liked the man or not. Woman weren’t even really allowed to make their decisions it was either their parents or husbands when got married. Men worried about everything. Today all has changed for men and women especially women are viewed differently today then back in those days. I am so grateful for women have come from till today.
