“Are Families Dangerous?”

Families are love not danger! I couldn’t disagree more with the views and assertions that Barbara Ehrenreich make’s in her essay, about the everyday deputes and physical damage that family members inflict on each other. Ehrenreich goes on by saying a few distraught things in the last paragraph that I also disagree with such as “[We the public] aggrandize wife beaters, degrades women or nods approvingly at child slappers….” . After a long day of school, work, or cleaning an individual wants to spend quality time with the ones he/she loves. Not argue and obsess about something bad that had happened. But in any case these are extreme circumstances in which I feel that Ehrenreich latches onto way too often in her essay. She almost gives me a feeling of self hopelessness for my future family or relationships. Also she keeps stating the ladies side,”…for a women, home is, statistically speaking, home is the most dangerous place to be”. Also Ehrenreich , gives...
