I choose to watch Arnold Schwarzenegger speaking at the USC Commencement Address in 2009.

Body: Mr. Schwarzenegger’s body language was informal; he was very upbeat and happy.
He used a lot of hand movement along with a continuous smile.
Tone: He was funny, which made listening to a twenty five minute speech easy. Lots of jokes were involved in this speech along with personal stories.
Effect: The audience was interacting with his deliverance of the speech, a lot of giggling and cheering. It wasn’t hall joke though, He followed up with some tip on how to successful in our future after college.
I believe he used emotion to persuade the audience, with all the laughing alongside to the heartfelt stories of his success. His speech was very persuasive to me; it made me want to work even harder to succeed in my degree. If I were to read this I do believe it would be just as persuasive, he has a way of captivating his audience.
He also had Six rule to live by, this is kind of weird because a lot of these are what I was told to abid by as growing up…(of course in my mom’s words)
I have to shorten them because they have stories to go with them.
1. Trust yourself
2. Break the rules/not laws
3. Don’t be afraid to fail
4. Don’t listen to the ne-Sayers
5. Work your butt off
6. Give back
This speech was excellent, I do recommend it.
